Underwater Welding and Cutting
Dive-Tech International, Inc. has been providing high quality underwater welding and cutting services throughout the southeastern United States and the Caribbean for over twenty five years. Underwater cutting is accomplished by using an ultrathermic oxygen cutting torch and consumable rods. Underwater cutting is the most efficient, cost effective means of completing underwater tasks that involve cutting, piercing, or gouging. The rods burn in excess of 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit and can be used to cut or melt through almost anything including cast iron, stainless steel, brass, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. From cutting a cable out of the drives on a tugboat, to cutting off an H-pile, DTI has the expertise to handle specific job needs.

Welding underwater is an underutilized tool. DTI can provide you with an experienced and professional staff certified to produce welds that meet AWS D3.6-93 specifications for Type B welds, the American Welding Society’s standard for certifying underwater welds.
From installing cathodic protection to welding a patch on a sheet pile wall, DTI’s broad-based experience is sure to have a solution to your wet welding needs. Often, DTI is able to provide a more cost effective alternative by making critical weld repairs underwater, without having to remove the broken equipment, thus reducing operational down time, saving money.
